Bell's Three Provinces Festival 2009

Our sincerest thanks once again to all the anglers and sponsors who made this event possible!  Special mention goes to Bell's Whisky, Protea Hotel Christiana and Scientific Fly for the wonderful gifts, prizes, accommodation facilities and excellent service!

From the catch cards received, a total of 192 smallmouth yellowfish, 6 barbel, 1 largemouth yellowfish, 4 carp and 21 mudfish were successfully landed and released back into the river to fight yet another day.

John Gavin, chairperson of the Three Provinces Club Freestate chapter has prepared an article for publishing in FlyFishing Magazine's December/January issue.  A special thank you to Sheena from FlyFishing magazine for extending the deadline by a few days!

Here are some pictures to wet the appetite for next year's 10th Anniversary event - guaranteed to be the Bell's festival of the year in 2010.  With the NCYWG and Three Provinces Fly Fishing club celebrating it's 10th year of existence, we are planning an unforgettable event for the 2010 fly fishing calendar!
